Titans go LT, CB in Chad Reuter’s three-round mock draft

The Titans take a left tackle and cornerback with their first two picks in Chad Reuter’s three-round mock draft.

In the majority of multi-round mock drafts we’ve seen this offseason, the Tennessee Titans are typically projected to go with some combination of left tackle and wide receiver with their first two picks, which is understandable considering those are their two biggest needs to address this offseason.

However, in a recent three-round mock draft from Chad Reuter of NFL.com, he has Tennessee going in a slightly different direction, with the Titans taking Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt at No. 7 overall and then Georgia cornerback Kamari Lassiter at No. 38.

Alt is, of course, the best possible outcome for the Titans with their first-round pick, as he would give the franchise its left tackle of the future Tennessee so desperately needs.

While I would certainly prefer the Titans grab a wide receiver in Round 2 after getting a left tackle, cornerback is probably second on my list in that spot, as the Titans have a significant need there, also.

Kristian Fulton is as good as gone after a terrible 2023 campaign, and Sean Murphy-Bunting is a pending free agent, although he wouldn’t fill the need for a No. 1 cornerback if re-signed.

The problem I have with Reuter’s mock is that Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, who has been mocked to the Titans on several occasions this year and would be a great fit, was still on the board in that spot. He would easily be my choice over Lassiter.
