USA TODAY’s Nate Davis released his Week 1 power rankings, and in it the Tennessee Titans saw a nice boost thanks to the addition of Jadeveon Clowney.
Per Davis, the Titans are ranked No. 5 in the NFL going into Week 1, which is three spots higher than where they were previously. The only teams ahead of Tennessee are the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 1), the Baltimore Ravens (No. 2), the New Orleans Saints (No. 3) and the San Francisco 49ers (No. 4).

5. Titans (8): Eleventh-hour addition of pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who had his most productive season under Mike Vrabel when both were in Houston, is quite a coup.

The Titans have regularly been in the top 10 in the power rankings of most outlets this offseason, and some have even had them in the top five before the Clowney signing.
The Titans will open their season on September 14 against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High, with kickoff set to take place at 9:10 p.m. CT.
