The Tennessee Titans failed to show up in prime time on “Sunday Night Football” and were promptly blown out by the Green Bay Packers, 40-14.
We’ve seen it far too many times this year: the Titans came out sluggish in the first half and fell behind 19-0 before we could blink and it was simply too much to overcome against a potent offense like the Packers’.
The Titans came did cut the deficit to 19-14 after scoring on the opening drive of the second half, but the offense stalled again from there and the Packers kept chugging right along en route to securing the win.
With the loss, the Titans failed to clinch the AFC South or even a playoff berth and instead will have to come through in Week 17 to do so. The good news is that the Indianapolis Colts lost, so the Titans are still in first place.
