Titans excused DL coach Tracy Rocker to watch son’s MLB debut

Tennessee Titans DL coach Tracy Rocker got to experience an incredible moment on the baseball diamond with his son making his MLB debut.

Tennessee Titans defensive line coach Tracy Rocker may be tired on Friday. That’s a small price to pay to experience a moment of a lifetime, a moment he wouldn’t miss for the world.

At long last, his son, Texas Rangers starting pitcher Kumar Rocker, finally made his major league debut against the Seattle Mariners and was electric. With an assist from owner Amy Adams-Strunk, Rocker was able to witness the outing in person.

The Rangers’ top pitching prospect, Kumar has battled injuries since becoming a top prospect in 2021. Now, after posting a 1.96 ERA in the minor leagues this season, he’s in the big leagues.

On Thursday, Kumar got the call and didn’t disappoint, he finished his game scattering three hits over four innings with seven strikeouts.

Rocker will be back in the fold Friday to help finish prep for the New York Jets, but he will return as a proud father, who with help and support from the Titans will be able to cherish this moment for the rest of his life.
