The Tennessee Titans have been ravaged by injuries to their receiving corps. this season, but the team could be getting some reinforcements in the next few weeks in A.J. Brown and Golden Tate.

Tate was signed to the Titans’ practice squad last month but has not gotten into a game yet. On Monday, head coach Mike Vrabel noted that Tate is working his way to getting ready to play, per Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

“We’ll see where (Golden) is this week,” Vrabel said. “He has been working hard, catching punts, trying to show us some of those things. … He is working hard, he is conscientious. I like seeing him in the meetings. It feels like he’s getting a better grasp of what we are doing.”

Wide receivers coach Rob Moore says part of the battle for Tate is getting himself into game shape after not playing at all before being signed by Tennessee.

It appears Tate may not play in Week 15 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, though, as he was not one of the players protected on the practice squad.

As far as Brown is concerned, Moore says everything is going well in his rehab from a chest injury that led to his being placed on Injured Reserve.

Brown will be eligible to return in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers.
