Titans claim OL Corey Levin off waivers from Jets

Levin was a sixth-round pick of the Titans in 2017.

The Tennessee Titans are reuniting with a familiar face, as the team has claimed offensive lineman Corey Levin off waivers from the New York Jets, according to the league’s transactions wire.

Levin was originally a sixth-round pick of the Titans back in 2017 and played in 16 games (one start) during the 2018 campaign.

He was cut by Tennessee prior to the 2019 season and has since spent time on the rosters of the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and Jets. He did not play in a regular-season contest for any of those teams.

The biggest benefit of adding Levin is that he gives the Titans more depth at center. Tennessee has Aaron Brewer as their main backup there, but the team also carried backup center Daniel Munyer, who struggled mightily with snaps during training camp and the preseason. Levin can play at guard, also.

Levin goes to Tennessee’s active roster, which will take a corresponding move to fit him in.
