Titans’ Chris Milton named as player most likely to be cut after 2020 NFL Draft

Is Chris Milton on the chopping block in the wake of the 2020 NFL Draft?

The Tennessee Titans addressed their need at cornerback during the 2020 NFL Draft with two different picks, which could lead to them letting a player go at the position in the near future.

At least, that’s what Bill Barnwell of ESPN sees the team possibly doing.

In a recent article on which NFL players will likely be cut or traded now that the draft is over, Barnwell thinks the Titans could part ways with cornerback Chris Milton.

The Titans acquired Milton by signing him off waivers from the division rival Indianapolis Colts last year and used him on special teams.

But does he really have a place in Nashville this year?

That remains highly in question as the team moves forward in preparation for the upcoming season.

“Tennessee brought back fellow special-teamer Tye Smith and used a second-round pick on Kristian Fulton; if it also re-signs Logan Ryan after the slot corner’s market failed to develop, Milton’s future with the team would be in question,” Barnwell wrote.

It will be interesting to see how the Titans handle Milton as the offseason progresses, but there might not be a real place for him cemented on the roster.

Don’t be surprised if the team lets him go sooner rather than later.
