Titans beat Dolphins, clinch AFC South and regain No. 1 seed: Everything we know

The Titans have clinched the AFC South for the second straight year after beating the Dolphins in Week 17.

The Tennessee Titans are officially AFC South champions once again after defeating the Miami Dolphins, 34-3, in Week 17 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

This is the first time in the Titans era that the team has won consecutive division titles, something the franchise hasn’t accomplished since the Houston Oilers won three straight from 1960-62 in the AFL.

Not only did the Titans clinch their division, but the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, which puts Tennessee in the No. 1 seed and has them controlling their own destiny for a first-round bye going into Week 18.

As far as the game was concerned, the Titans’ offense didn’t exactly score many style points, but did enough to secure the victory with Tennessee’s defense once again putting the clamps on another opponent.

Now, let’s take a deep dive into the Week 17 victory over the Dolphins that won the AFC South for the Titans and put them back in the No. 1 seed.
