Tennessee Titans tight end Anthony Firkser will be one of many players at his position from around the league to attend the inaugural “Tight End University” this year in Nashville.
The summit, which was started by the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle, the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and recently-retired Greg Olsen, allows tight ends from around the league to work with some of the NFL’s best.
“That’s the biggest thing for me is to help this position grow,” Kelce said of the summit. “I didn’t have this success and I don’t have all the fun out there on the field without a guy like Tony Gonzalez or Vernon Davis. I mean you name it, the guys before me, they’ve blazed the trail and given me an opportunity to have that much trust in an offense. You name it. I’ve just been very fortunate. I just want to pass that torch.”

Firkser, who was present at the Titans’ latest OTAs session, is going into a 2021 season where expectations are as high as they’ve ever been for him. Clearly he isn’t taking that lightly.
The Harvard product had a career year in 2020, totaling career-highs in receptions (39) and receiving yards (387), while also adding one score.
Here’s a look at some of the other players who will be attending along with Firkser:
- Darren Waller
- Noah Fant
- Zach Ertz
- Mark Andrews
- Mike Gesicki
- Cole Kmet
- Jonnu Smith
- Eric Ebron
- TJ Hockenson
- David Njoku
- Robert Tonyan
- Kyle Pitts
- OJ Howard
- Evan Engram
- Hunter Henry
