Titans acquiring OL Dennis Daley in trade with Panthers

The Titans are reportedly acquiring offensive lineman Dennis Daley in a trade with the Panthers.

The Tennessee Titans are reportedly adding offensive lineman Dennis Daley via a trade with the Carolina Panthers.

Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Titans are sending a 2024 fifth-round pick to Carolina in exchange for Daley and a 2024 seventh-round pick.

A former sixth-round pick of the Panthers in 2019, Daley has appeared in 34 games (21 starts) during his career.

In 2021, he appeared in 15 games (nine starts) and allowed three sacks in 573 offensive snaps. He posted Pro Football Focus grades of 36.4 and 61.3 in pass-blocking and run-blocking, respectively.

Daley, who will slot in as a backup, offers versatility, as he can play both guard and tackle.

The Titans adding another depth option is a clear indication they aren’t happy with their current options, which comes as no surprise after the reserves struggled mightily during the preseason.

The Titans will finalize their 53-man roster by 4 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, and then will put the practice squad together on Wednesday. After that, Tennessee will begin the regular season on Sept. 11 against the New York Giants.
