Rockets rookie Jalen Green spoke to the media on Friday for the first time since he was injured (left hamstring strain) on Nov. 24 against the Chicago Bulls. He alluded that he was making progress and was getting stronger every day.
Although an exact date on his return has not been determined, head coach Stephen Silas feels that the time away from the court will also help him learn by getting a view from his perspective:
Every moment is a teaching moment for Jalen Green, whether he is on the floor or off the floor. Him sitting through our walkthrough today, watching the film on what we are going to be doing against Milwaukee, watching film with me one-on-one is a learning moment. He is learning a bunch and see how he can fit in. There is a lot that can be learned by being out, but hopefully, sooner than later, he will be on the floor learning as well.
Houston will take on the Milwaukee Bucks Friday at the Toyota Center before heading out on a three-game road trip starting Sunday, including the Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
