Advice and prediction

The Nuggets have struggled early this season, but we may now be seeing the re-emergence of bubble Jamal Murray. After averaging just 17.7 points in three December games, Murray has gone off for 31 and 36 in his last two, while Nikola Jokic is averaging a triple-double.

The Timberwolves are 0-4 against the spread without Towns, and this line seems too small. It’s difficult for any NBA team to win back-to-back games against the same opponent, but Minnesota is outmatched here, and the Nuggets have been playing better defensively with Michael Porter Jr. out of the lineup. Take the Nuggets -10.5, and with the Timberwolves’ defense seemingly unable to keep any opponent under 124 points, take the over 226.5.

Prediction: Nuggets 129, Timberwolves 105
