Tight end target reaffirms Florida State commitment

Chase Loftin is staying in Tallahassee.

Class of 2025 four-star tight end and Nebraska football recruiting target Chase Loftin reaffirmed his commitment to Florida State on Monday night.

Loftin is a four-star tight end. According to the On3 recruiting rankings, he is the 24th overall player in the 2025 class and the second overall player in his class from the state of Nebraska.

The tight end originally committed to the Seminoles on June 29, shortly after taking an official visit to Tallahassee. The Huskers certainly made a push for Loftin. He visited Lincoln several times over the last year. He took visits on January 20, April 6, April 27, and November 2, and he also took an official visit on June 21.

The 2025 class has seen movement at the tight-end position over the past couple of days. Three-star TE Bear Tenney de-committed from the program last week.

Loftin would have been a big get for Nebraska football. Nevertheless, as Early Signing Day gets underway, Wednesday may have more positive surprises.
