While the Tigers have a recruiting class of 14 players that ranks in the top 10 nationally, they’re still looking to land a few elite prospects to really put a bow on this year’s group.
Defensive lineman [autotag]Aydin Breland[/autotag], who plays for California high school powerhouse Mater Dei in Santa Ana, could fit that bill.
Breland currently ranks as the No. 35 player nationally per the On3 Industry Rankings, and he recently trimmed his list down to 10 schools. LSU made the cut alongside Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, USC, Miami, Nebraska and Texas A&M.
He is currently rated as a four-star recruit by most services, but 247Sports’ rankings have him as a five-star at No. 25 nationally.

As you can tell, there is going to be a lot of competition to land the west coast prospect. He has no clear leader according to On3 with USC having the slight edge followed by Georiga, Oregon and Miami. However, no school has a higher than 21.4% chance to land him, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
He has no Crystal Ball projections from 247Sports.
