LSU did what it needed to do in Week 8, going on the road and winning in comfortable fashion against a solid Arkansas team 34-10.
However, with a relative lack of chaos going on around them, the Tigers didn’t see a substantial rise in either poll. After entering the week ranked No. 8 in both polls, they moved up one spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll to No. 7.
Meanwhile, in the AP Top 25, there was no change as LSU ranked No. 8 for another week. While previous No. 7 Alabama fell eight spots to No. 15, the Tigers were jumped by Tennessee, which moved up to No. 7 after knocking off the Crimson Tide.
The Tigers will have the chance to earn a top-15 win when they travel to face No. 14 Texas A&M on Saturday in Week 9.
