Tiger Woods should have been competing in the second round of the Masters on Friday. Instead, Augusta National Golf Club remains closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Masters has been postponed until the week of Nov. 9-15.
But Woods, who hasn’t played in a tournament since the Genesis Invitational in February, couldn’t resist taking the bag out in honor of Masters week. The five-time Masters champion posted a photo of his bag on social media with the hashtag “Crush Quarantine.”
Woods also paid homage to the Masters on Tuesday night when he posted a photo of his Champions Dinner, quarantine style at home with his family.
Earlier in the week, Woods told GolfTV that his back would have been ready to play this week, but the extra time should be a boon for his chances to defend his title as he did once before in 2002.
Decided to take out the bag today in honor of Masters week. Thanks @MonsterEnergy for this special one. #CrushQuarantine #MonsterEnergy pic.twitter.com/kWyL8wr8qa
