Tiger Woods poked fun at Phil Mickelson constantly bragging about his calves

Never fails.

Sunday’s broadcast of The Match — a charity golf event with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning — showcased the game’s personalities in ways we don’t typically see in a golf broadcast.

Every competitor was mic’d up, and the conversations extended to those in the booth (like Charles Barkley). It allowed golf fans to feel like they’re a part of the banter, which made the Phil-Tiger component especially entertaining.

We now know exactly how Tiger feels about Phil’s ridiculously sculpted calves.

Early in The Match, Tiger and Phil were set for a $1.5 million long-drive challenge. And just before he teed off, Phil made a remark about “activating” his calves. You could see Tiger’s eyeroll through the screen.

Tiger said after the comment:

“Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is what I have to listen to every time we play.”

Can we have more of this in regular tournaments please? Mic everything up. I digress.

But really, Tiger, have you seen Phil’s calves?!

I’d remind my golf buddies about my calves too if I were Phil.

But hey, the calves weren’t enough to top Tiger in the challenge. Woods was the one to earn $1.5 million for charity.
