Tiger Woods has been on the slow road to recovery since suffering serious leg injuries in a car accident in Los Angeles that he was fortunate to survive through back in February.
While we’ve seen a few photos of him recently on social media we haven’t heard much from Woods about his injuries and how his recovery is going – well, until now.
Woods spoke with Golf Digest’s Daniel Rapaport this week and said the pain he felt is unlike anything he’s ever felt in his life and with the countless injuries he’s had in the past.
Here’s what he had to say about that, via Golf Digest:
“This has been an entirely different animal,” Woods said of the post-crash injuries. “I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced.”
Woods also talked about his future:
Asked about his hopes of playing golf again, Woods had no comment, but said, “My physical therapy has been keeping me busy. I do my routines every day and am focused on my No. 1 goal right now: walking on my own. Taking it one step at a time.”
He was also able to have some fun talking about this photo:

“It’s funny because in that photo, the crutches definitely make my shoulders look big!” he said. “Maybe it’s the workouts, too. It’s been nice having the ability to still stay strong and work out my upper body.”
It’s great to hear from Tiger and here’s hoping his recovery continues to go well. Quite frankly, I’m just glad he’s still here with us.
