Tiger Woods wasted no time in his return to the PGA Tour.
On Thursday, Woods played his first round of the 2023 Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club, marking his long-awaited return to the green. Woods previously had been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, which caused him to miss the Hero World Challenge in late November and early December.
Just a few months later, however, Woods is back out there competing in his first PGA Tour event of 2023. And Woods got things started right away with a birdie on No. 1 at Riviera thanks to a lovely four-foot putt.
