Tiger Woods avoided his first-ever missed cut at the Memorial in 18 appearances, making the weekend on the 3-over cut line. The Big Cat used one of his nine lives for a third-round tee time but failed to make a move on Saturday.
The 82-time winner on the PGA Tour signed for a 1-under 71 on Moving Day at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, walking off the course T-49 at 2 over with the top of the leaderboard yet to tee off.
After a bogey on the third hole, Woods seemed to find his stride with a pair of birdies on Nos. 5 and 6, but a costly bogey on the ninth hole derailed his momentum and brought the 44-year-old back to even on the day.

Woods strung together four pars to start the back nine before another pair of birdies on the par-4 14th and par-5 15th. He immediately gave one shot back with a bogey on No. 16. He ended his round with a par-par finish, but will be well-behind the leaders during Sunday’s final round.
