Tiger of the Game: Johni Broome sweeps votes in Auburn’s loss to Georgia

The Auburn big man posted impressive numbers despite a losing effort.

The No. 20 Auburn Tigers suffered its first SEC loss of the 2022-23 season on Wednesday, dropping a tough game to Georgia, 76-64 at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens.

It was a disappointing night offensively for Auburn, as they shot just 34% from the field and just 21% from beyond the arc. There was only one Tiger who scored more than 10 points, and that was [autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag].

Broome not only carried Auburn offensively, but he also pulled down 23% of the Tigers’ rebound total. His epic night lands him at the top of the “Tiger of the Game” podium.

Here is a look at why writers Taylor JonesJ.D. McCarthy, and River Wells chose Broome as their “Tiger of the Game” following Auburn’s loss to Georgia.
