Advice and prediction
The Thunder are tricky to bet on because when Gilgeous-Alexander plays well, the team tends to compete for long enough to flirt with the spread. It’s generally not worth betting on the Thunder to lose, because there’s not much money to be gained from it.
Why to bet on the Thunder to cover: Lu Dort is one of the premier defenders in the league, and he can contain Curry as well as anyone in the NBA (which is to say, only to some degree). Gilgeous-Alexander found his footing on Sunday and will be looking for his first 30-point outing of the season.
Why to bet against the Thunder: Golden State looks like one of the best teams in the league, and it’s tough to imagine OKC keeping up with them offensively. The Warriors are also one of the smartest teams in the league, and Green sees the floor multiple levels ahead of the rookies and other young players on Oklahoma City. Plus, the Thunder are awful at 3-point shooting, so if Golden State can go on a run from behind the arc, it may be over quickly.
Prediction: Warriors 121, Thunder 104
