Thunder vs. Jazz highlights: Donovan Mitchell’s clutch shot beats the Thunder

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a chance to hit another game-winner early in the season, but came up just short against the Jazz.

The Oklahoma City Thunder fell to 1-1 on the season after dropping a close game with the Utah Jazz on Monday night in Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Lu Dort led the Thunder with 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 23. Dort hit a go-ahead 3-pointer to put the Thunder up 109-108 with 1:04 left to play, but after George Hill missed what would have been a dagger three, Donovan Mitchell hit a runner off the glass with seven seconds remaining to give Utah the lead.

Gilgeous-Alexander had a chance to hit a winner on the other end, but his driving layup attempt came up short and the Jazz held on to win.

The Thunder will return to the floor on Tuesday night at home to play the Magic.
