Thunder schedule update: OKC to play Memphis Grizzlies on Feb. 17

Adjust your calendars! The NBA scheduled was adjusted to add an OKC Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies game on Feb. 17.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had a game added to their schedule in the first half of the season, the team and the NBA announced on Saturday.

Oklahoma City will face off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m.

This game comes in what would have been a two-day break between the Feb. 16 game against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Feb. 19 game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Grizzlies, with a 7-6 record, have had several game postponents so far this season due to coronavirus protocol.

Their Jan. 15 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves was postponed, then they played two games before entering a long stretch without a game. Memphis missed two games against the Portland Trail Blazers, two against the Sacramento Kings and one against the Chicago Bulls.

Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs was their first game since Jan. 18.

Entering that night, they had won five games in a row, though it had been quite a while since they got any of those wins.

The Thunder end January with an 8-10 record. They have had fewer postponements, missing just two games so far. The season opener against the Houston Rockets was postponed, as was the Jan. 17 game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
