The new-look Oklahoma City Thunder will have three games to show who they may be this year before the regular season begins.
The NBA announced the preseason schedules on Friday. Oklahoma City is scheduled to play three games, one of which is against the San Antonio Spurs and two against the Chicago Bulls.
The Spurs game will take place in San Antonio on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
Oklahoma City will host the Bulls on Dec. 16 and 18. Both those games will start at 7 p.m.
This will be the first opportunity to see the revamped Thunder roster. The organization is going through a rebuild and traded away its veterans that made it a playoff team last year, so there’s mystery to what this new group of players will look like.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be the primary ball handler, scorer and facilitator on offense while Lu Dort and Darius Bazley will continue working to develop in their second year as pros.
All the other players will be new to the city, so the team will be eager to see who can replace the likes of Steven Adams, Dennis Schroder and Chris Paul.
Training camp is scheduled to start on Dec. 1. The 72-game regular season will begin on Dec. 22.
