The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again when they play the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.
The third-year guard will miss his third consecutive game due to a left knee sprain, according to the NBA injury report.
Gilgeous-Alexander hurt the knee on Feb. 1 and missed two games before returning for the next two. He tweaked it again in the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 8 and has not played since.
His next chance to return will be Tuesday, which would give him a full week off of games.
Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 22.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting career-highs in field goal and 3-point percentages.
Backup guard Theo Maledon also remains out in COVID-19 health and safety protocols. This will be his fourth game in a row out. He also missed the Feb. 5 game due to protocols, but returned one night later before being placed back on the injury list for health and safety reasons.
Hamidou Diallo and Kenrich Williams will likely continue in the starting place with the absence of those two guards.
Diallo is averaging 14.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists over his last 12 games, five of which are starts.
Williams has started the last two games in place of Gilgeous-Alexander. On Wednesday he posted 24 points, six rebounds and three steals, and on Friday he had seven points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
The Thunder will top off against the Bucks at 7 p.m. Central Time.
