Thunder center Moses Brown has double-double at halftime vs. Bulls

OKC Thunder center Moses Brown had a double-double by halftime in the game against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Oklahoma City Thunder center Moses Brown has the first double-double of his career.

It’s only halftime.

The second-year player posted 14 points and 10 rebounds in the first half of the game on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls. This was his fourth game in a row setting a career-high in points, which sets a Thunder record.

Six of Moses’ rebounds were on the offensive end, and he had two blocks. He played a key role in helping the Thunder fight back into the game after trailing by double-digits at the end of the first quarter. OKC opened the second with a 22-5 run to retake the lead with 6:32 to go.

Unfortunately for the Thunder, Chicago had a big run of its own. After the Thunder took a 50-49 lead, the Bulls outscored OKC 22-13 the rest of the way to go into the half up 71-63.

Bulls guard Zach LaVine had a game-high 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting and four 3-pointers.

Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 17 points on 8-for-11 shooting, including this tough basket to end the half.

Forward Kenrich Williams had 12 points off the bench for OKC.

Oklahoma City will try to fight back for the comeback, but they’ll have to do it without Al Horford (rest), Darius Bazley (shoulder contusion) or Lu Dort (toe sprain).

Brown will work to continue his career-best performance. In his three games since returning from the G League, he has averaged 10 points and 8.3 boards per game.

Getting the second start of his career, he has already eclipsed both numbers.
