The Washington Huskies are on a never-ending quest to improve their 2025 recruiting class, and Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff has identified another target along the offensive line.
Offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll has a long-standing relationship with three-star prospect Peter Langi, who attends Archbishop Riordan High School in Northern California alongside four-star wide receiver commit Chris Lawson. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound prospect is set to take an official visit to Seattle beginning on October 4, just before the Huskies face off with the No. 10 Michigan Wolverines.
Langi was originally set to take his official visit to Seattle during Washington’s spring game before canceling his trip and has now circled back around to the Huskies. He holds one of the most impressive offer lists for a three-star prospect, with 38 scholarships from around the country, including Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas all among the programs showing interest in his services.
However, according to 247Sports, his recruitment appears to be coming down to a battle between Washington, Fisch’s former school, Arizona, and Arizona State.
If he were to choose Washington, his size and positional versatility between guard and tackle could put him on a similar development track as one of Carroll’s most successful prospects, Arizona offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea.
Langi is the same size and moves very similarly to the 2022 Freshman All-American and 2023 All-Pac-12 honorable mention, and Carroll could implore a similar strategy with the three-star prospect if he winds up choosing Washington, as Savaiinaea started his Wildcats career at guard before kicking out to tackle.
