Three-star LB Donovan Robinson becomes Washington’s third commit of the day

The Washington Huskies earned their third commitment of the day from three-star linebacker Donovan Robinson.

That makes three Sunday commits for Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies after three-star linebacker Donovan Robinson announced his pledge to the Huskies. A one-time commit to Virginia, he holds 17 offers and chose to take his talents to Seattle over coach P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, is ranked as the state’s No. 23 prospect and as the nation’s No. 85 linebacker in the 2025 class by 247Sports. He becomes the first commit for position coach Robert Bala but should see a lot of freedom in Steve Belichick’s defense.

Safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri helped extend the offer to Robinson, who has discussed that one of Washington’s selling points is Belichick’s willingness to line him up at multiple positions. He moves extremely well for his size and could be a valuable piece to the backend of the defense at safety too.

Robinson is an alluring addition to the 2025 class thanks to that elite combination of size and movement skills at the position and could be the start of an exciting crop of linebackers for Bala in his first year on Montlake.

If he can get four-star prospects Zaydrius Rainey-Sale and Jonathan Epperson to join Robinson, Bala could quickly establish himself as one of the best recruiters on Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff.
