It feels like Washington can’t lose on the recruiting trail right now, especially on defense.
The Huskies earned commitment No. 19 in the 2025 class on Tuesday, with Bastrop (Texas) cornerback Ramonz Adams the latest to pledge to Montlake. He’s the eighth defensive player to commit to Washington since June 23 and the ninth defender overall.
Adams was another member of Washington’s loaded official visit weekend on June 21, which already includes 10 Husky commits from the 16 prospects who attended. Only two of the remaining six, offensive linemen Darius Afalava and Elijah Vaikona, have committed to other schools. Afalava chose Oklahoma and Vaikona committed to USC.
The No. 70 cornerback in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings, Adams joins Spanaway (Washington) athlete D’Aryhian Clemons as the second cornerback in Washington’s 2025 class. Ephesians Prysock, Elijah Jackson, Jordan Shaw, and Thaddeus Dixon, the current members of the secondary battling for starting jobs, all have eligibility for 2025 as well.
Adams was previously committed to Texas Tech, but reopened his recruitment on June 17 shortly before taking his visit to Washington. He also took visits to Boston College and Arizona in addition to Texas Tech.
Washington now has commitments from linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, linebacker Jonathan Epperson, running back Julian McMahan, tight end Baron Naone, defensive lineman Caleb Smith, linebacker Donovan Robinson, wide receiver Dezmen Roebuck, edge rusher Victor Sanchez Hernandez, defensive lineman Dominic Macon, Clemons, and Adams from the June 21 slate of visitors.
