Three-star wide receiver Deji Ajose has had an extremely hectic last few weeks. 247Sports’ No. 39 athlete has taken official visits to Oregon State and Utah and on Tuesday night, announced he’d be adding a midweek trip to Seattle to check out coach Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies.
Ajose, who is set to begin his official visit to Montlake on Wednesday, attends Bishop O’Dowd High School which has produced some talented players over the last handful of years. Some of the school’s top products include USC’s Austin Jones and Alijah Vera-Tucker, and former UW second-round pick Kevin King.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound prospect has promising length, and although 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins views his highest upside on defense, Fisch’s coaching staff likes him on the offensive side. Wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings is looking for two or three more players at the position to pair with three-star commit Raiden Vines-Bright, and Ajose’s explosiveness at his size makes him an intriguing name to watch.
The late visit could also signal that the Huskies may be out of the running for one of their top targets at the position, four-star wide receiver Phillip Bell, who is rumored to be choosing between Ohio State and USC.
Cummings has done a very good job developing relationships with some of the nation’s top talent at wide receiver and although Ajose holds just 8 offers, he would be an intriguing addition to the 2025 class.
