Three Washington Huskies alumni will be part of Super Bowl LVIII

A Washington Huskies alumni will be getting a Super Bowl ring no matter who wins between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

As coach Jedd Fisch continues to sell recruits on the prospect of Washington being the best place to help send them to the NFL, Super Bowl LVIII will be an easy example for him to point to as he builds out his 2025 recruiting class.

There will be former Huskies on both sidelines as the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs prepare to play inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon. At the beginning of the 2023 season, Washington ranked No. 13 for the most alumni placed on active rosters in the NFL, tied with USC for the top spot in the Pac-12 with 27. However, when adding practice squads, the Huskies can claim 32 members of the NFL.

That number should be well over 40 by the time 2024 rolls around, as the Huskies are sending 13 players to the NFL Combine and all 13 will have the same goal, to play in the Super Bowl. Washington will have three representatives in the game this year, although only one will see the field.
