It’s all about energy
Basketball is a game built around momentum. It’s a game of runs, so far this year, this has worked for and against LSU.
Too often, LSU has gotten off to slow starts. It happened again vs Georgia Tech on Saturday as LSU was down 21-7 at one point.
Luckily for Will Wade, his team has had the talent advantage against every opponent they have faced thus far. LSU has been able to overcome sloppy plays by just wearing other teams down.
If one just looked at LSU’s second-half numbers, they’d think LSU was the best team in the country. LSU leads the country in scoring margin in the second half.
Against SEC opponents, this won’t fly. LSU will eventually go up against some teams that have as much talent and depth, if not more. It’s something Wade and crew need to smoothen out before LSU faces Auburn on December 29th.
