While the 2023 campaign for Rutgers men’s lacrosse ended in disappointing fashion, the season was full of unforgettable moments. Ethan Rall, Shane Knoblach, and Noah Daniels provided a few of those, and on Tuesday, they were recognized for their play. The first postseason All-Americans listing was revealed by USA Lacrosse Magazine, with all three receiving honors.
Ethan Rall was named to the First Team, Shane Knoblach to the Third Team, and Noah Daniels rounded out the awards as an Honorable Mention selection. It is not the first time Rall and Knoblach received special recognition from USA Lacrosse Magazine.
For the second straight season, Rall was named a First Team All-American. He was a disruptive presence by causing 21 turnovers and collecting 49 ground balls. He also rewrote the Rutgers record books as he finished his career with 85 caused turnovers, a program record. Rall finished his senior season second in the league in caused turnovers per game.

As Knoblach added 38 points to his resume, he earned All-American accolades for the third straight season. While playing primarily out of the midfield, the New Jersey native had five multi-goal games, including four hat tricks. He also showed a flair for the dramatics with a game-winning goal in overtime against Michigan.

Unlike Knoblach and Rall, the 2023 season was Daniels’s first in Piscataway. He made an instant impact with 11 points and 29 ground balls. The New York native finished fourth on the team in caused turnovers and had three games of at least five points. With Daniels in the Rutgers midfield, their future is bright.
Later this month, the All-American teams from the media voting compiled by Inside Lacrosse and the Coaches’ All-American teams from the USILA will be released.
