On Tuesday, two former Kentucky basketball stars were honored as a part of the NBA’s All-Defensive team. On Wednesday, the All-NBA teams were announced, and the Wildcats were represented well, with three honorees.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished second in the NBA in MVP voting. His terrific season did land give him an All-NBA nod. He averaged 30 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists for the season for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The All-NBA second team features Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis, who also made the All-Defensive team. He posted 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game.

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker represents the All-NBA third team for Kentucky. He averaged 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists per game this season.
Three other former Wildcats received votes. Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, Sacremento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox, and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo came up just short of making one of the All-NBA teams.
It was a big year for former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA. Expect more of the same next season.
