This video of Reggie Bush explaining why Drew Brees practices alone is too good

“There ain’t no shortcuts to greatness, man. This is what’s all about right here.”

Drew Brees needs just two touchdown passes tonight to pass Tom Brady for second all-time. He’s a Super Bowl champ and has the Saints in position to contend for another one this year.

Yup, his NFL career thus far has been pretty darn good.

So what makes the future Hall of Famer so great at his job? All the work he puts into it each week.

His former teammate, Reggie Bush, took a video of Brees practicing alone on Sunday well after the team’s walk-through had finished. The 14-year veteran QB stayed to go through some mental reps before Monday night’s game against the Colts, visualizing what he wants to do if and when certain situations pop up. It’s here, all alone in the team’s practice facility, where you see just how much Brees puts in even after all these years.

Bush gushes praise in this video and explains this is why Brees is the legend that he is.

It’s a pretty great message from the former running back:

Now that is good stuff.
