‘This university really stands for something,’ A&M is Texas’ best per Wall Street Journal

“I’m thrilled to see the rest of the country start to catch on to what we already know — that this university really stands for something.”

Texas A&M University was recently ranked near the top of the Wall Street Journal’s “2025 Best Colleges in the U.S.” list.

The Aggies stood out among the rest of Texas and were deemed the best in the Lone Star State. Texas A&M finished No. 28 overall in the rankings.

“I’m thrilled to see the rest of the country start to catch on to what we here in Aggieland already know — that this university really stands for something,” stated Texas A&M president General (Ret.) Mark A. Welsh III. “Our core values are at the heart of everything we do at Texas A&M. We take pride in knowing that we are developing the next generation of exceptional leaders who will put those core values into practice for the betterment of our state and nation.”

Compared to last year, the Aggies rose 10 spots. Texas A&M is No. 1 in the SEC and 11th when it comes to public universities. Check out the full breakdown at the following link.
