This hilariously bad interception Oklahoma just threw perfectly summarizes its nightmare season so far

This might be the worst play call of the College Football season so far

Listen. Oklahoma fans talked a whole bunch of trash leading up to Saturday’s game against Texas. They even roasted Steve Sarkisian for his fits, which, if we’re being totally honest here, are not that bad.

But the game is being played now and there is absolutely nothing they can say right now. Oklahoma getting absolutely destroyed by Texas and making Yakety Sax-worthy plays while doing it.

What’s a Yakety Sax-worthy play, you ask? Well, just take a look at this interception thrown by Eric Gray โ€” who is a running back โ€” out of the Wildcat formation.

That’s right. The Wildcat. See for yourself.

This is so bad, y’all. First of all, this is excellent form for a jump shot from Gray. Keep this up and he might have a prosperous NBA career ahead of him.

But, also, this isn’t really Gray’s fault at all. He shouldn’t actually even be in this position. This might be one of the worst play calls of the season. Not only is this a Wildcat play call at 20-yard line, but the actual call is a jump passย from a running back. Again, from the 20-yard line.ย This makes no sense. Not sure what Brent Venables is doing here.

But we shouldn’t be surprised. This perfectly epitomizes what Oklahoma’s season has been so far. A whole bunch of this from a team that was supposed to be the best in the conference.

Poor, poor Sooners fans. Y’all don’t deserve this. That didn’t stop the college football world from absolutely roasting them after this ridiculous play.
