Aidan Mizell, a four-star wide receiver recruit from Boone High (Orlando, Florida), made his first visit to the University of Florida at the beginning of April. That trip put the Gators near the top of his recruitment, and a return to the Swamp is already set for UF’s Orange and Blue game on Thursday, according to Gators Online.
A track meet took up most of his morning the day of his first visit, so a quick return gives Mizell a chance to get a better look at the program. The new staff has brought life back to the Gators’ spring game, and the atmosphere should be electric as Gator Nation gets its first look at [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag]’s work.
Even though Mizell’s last trip to Gainesville was short, he left with a very favorable impression of the program.
“It’s an SEC school,” Mizell said. “They play really good competition and are constantly putting people into the league. It’s a really good educational school because it’s a top-five public education program.”

Mizell said that Florida is in his top schools as of now, but there are a few more schools he needs to see before deciding where everyone stands. He holds over 30 offers and is ranked the No. 52 overall recruit in the class of 2023 by On3.
The Gators will have plenty of competition for this in-state blue-chip receiver, but there is some family history with Florida that could help sway Mizell’s decision. Both of his parents participated in track and field events for the Gators while at UF.
A wide receiver with elite speed might be at the top of Florida’s recruiting wishlist right now, and Mizell certainly fits the bill. He looks like one of the in-state recruits that will continue to be a priority target in the months to come.
