This 4-star CB is headed back to the Swamp for another visit

Getting an out-of-state recruit on campus three times in seventh months can’t hurt, right?

After stopping by the University of Florida for an official visit last week, John Ehret High (Marrero, Louisiana) cornerback [autotag]Wardell Mack[/autotag] says he already has plans to return to the Swamp for the Grill in ‘Ville event on July 29, according to 247Sports.

It will be Mack’s third trip to the Swamp in four months. He first made his way to Gainesville in April and then again for the official visit on June 16. He also stopped by Florida State and Texas this month for official visits. Louisiana State is naturally in play for the in-state recruit as well.

Mack is going to narrow things down soon, but those are the unofficial top four right now. A decision is still probably a few months away, but he hopes to have things wrapped up by the first few weeks of his senior season.

A consensus four-star cornerback, Mack is highest ranked by On3 at No. 28 overall in the class and No. 4 among cornerbacks. 247Sports believes he’s outside the top 200, though, and only the 20th-best cornerback in the class.

Because of the extreme variance in rankings, Mack ends up at No. 79 overall on the On3 industry ranking, which uses a weighted average of all four major recruiting services. He’s also ranked No. 11 among corners and No. 3 among Louisiana recruits.
