Thielen limited in Thursday’s practice, Mattison held out

For the second-straight day, wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) was limited at practice.

For the second-straight day, wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) was limited at practice. This is a promising sign for the Vikings three days before their game against the Chargers in Los Angeles.

Thielen has played just one game since injuring his hamstring in Week 7 against the Lions.

Also limited for the Vikings was cornerback Mike Hughes (hip), cornerback Xavier Rhodes (ankle) and wide receiver Bisi Johnson (quad).

Safety Jayron Kearse (toe) and backup running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) missed practice entirely.

Don’t sleep on how important Mattison’s injury could end up being for the Vikings. His odds to play against the Chargers don’t look great. Mattison has ran for 462 yards as a rookie. We’ll get official injury designations for Thielen and Mattison on Friday.
