There’s little doubt that Florida will steamroll LSU this weekend

Florida Gator hosts the LSU Tigers this Saturday in a game that UF is expected to win handily as both teams head in opposite directions.

After a long wait for a game that was supposed to take place on Oct. 17, the Gators will finally take on LSU in The Swamp this weekend.

It’s been a struggle-filled season for the Tigers from the get-go. After shocking losses to Mississippi State and Missouri in Weeks 1 and 3, LSU started its national title defense at 1-2.

Things only got worse from there, as quarterback Myles Brennan suffered a lower-body injury from which he still hasn’t returned and likely won’t this season. In his place has been true freshman TJ Finley, who has had good moments mostly overshadowed by bad ones.

It’s been rocky for the Tigers, who sit at 3-5 and don’t execute particularly well on either side of the ball.

And in his predictions for this week’s SEC games, CBS Sports’ Barrett Sallee thinks Florida will win big on Saturday. He predicts that UF will cover the 23.5-point spread.

The Tigers are a total wreck at this point. In addition to the dreadful attempt at defending the national title, its offense has imploded, its defense never showed up to the party and players are bailing on the program. Meanwhile, the Gators could use some style points in the race for a CFP berth. They’ll get ’em on Saturday. Pick: Florida (-23.5)

Florida takes on the Tigers on Saturday night at 7 p.m. EST.
