Netflix is already gearing up for Season 3 of The Witcher.
Fans may have only recently seen the brilliant second season, but producer Steve Gaub is already scouting locations for Geralt and Yennefer’s next adventure. Over on Instagram, Gaub shared a photo on Jan. 18, 2022, of potential places where filming may occur (Thanks, Redanian Intelligence). There’s no clear indication of where the photo was taken, but secluded, orange-hued forests scream Witcher vibes.
Take a look at the photo in question below. It’s safe to say that Season 3 isn’t going to ease up on the moody (yet beautiful) on-location sequences.

Then, on Friday, Gaub posted another photo of a stone tunnel that looks appropriately medieval. Again, not much to go off of, but it sure looks like an area from the show.

If production is only beginning now, then Season 3 is likely still a ways off. No big deal, really. It gives us more time to process what Season 2’s ending was.
Fans of the show won’t have to wait too long for more from that universe, though, as Witcher: Blood Origin is due out sometime later this year. The prequel series will delve into how witchers came to be in the first place.
