Wow. WOW. WOWWWWWW!
With the deadline for Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign his supermax deal with the Milwaukee Bucks approaching, the superstar forward shocked the NBA world by announcing on Tuesday afternoon that he would indeed re-sign and stay with the franchise that drafted and developed him after taking him with the 15th pick in the 2013 draft.
It’s a decision that now has a ripple effect on the rest of the NBA, with some teams who were planning to have cap room if/when he became a free agent, or some who thought about possibly trading for him if the Bucks underachieved in 2020-21.
So here are the winners and losers after the forward tweeted he was staying.
This is my home, this is my city.. I’m blessed to be able to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let’s make these years count. The show goes on, let’s get it. 🤎🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/895tCBE9RK
