The Vikings still have work to do with the salary cap

After moving on from Adam Thielen and Eric Kendricks, the Vikings are getting closer to being salary cap compliant

After the pay cut of defensive end Ross Blacklock too and releases of linebacker Eric Kendricks and wide receiver Adam Thielen, the Vikings still have work to do with the salary cap.

According to Over The Cap, the Vikings sit at $9,429,216 over the salary cap.

There are plenty of moves that the Vikings can make over the next five days to become cap compliant before the deadline of 3:00 pm central time on Wednesday, March 15th.

  • Cut C.J. Ham-$3.05 million
  • Cut Za’Darius Smith-$12.16 million
  • Restructure Brian O’Neill-approximately up to $9.75 million
  • Restructure Harrison Smith-Approximately up to $13 million
  • Cut Jordan Hicks-$5 million
  • Move on from Dalvin Cook-$5.8 million (release), $7.8 million (trade)
  • Trade Ezra Cleveland-$2.99 million
