The Vikings should be feeling good about where they sit, says NFL.com

The Minnesota Vikings have gone from pretenders to contenders. The question is… can they stay that way?

Just when all hope seemed lost for Minnesota this season, the team rattles off three consecutive wins to move to 4-5.

I don’t know about you, but I did not see this winning streak coming. If you had asked me about these three games before the Vikings played the Packers, I would have guessed that maybe Minnesota would win one or two of these divisional games.

But winning all three seemed unthinkable with how the team had played before the bye week. At this current juncture, the Vikings are looking good. At least, NFL.com’s Jeffri Chadiha seems to think so.

“Next up, Minnesota will see Dallas, Carolina and Jacksonville, all teams that are sitting well under .500,”  Chadiha wrote. “The Panthers are the toughest opponent in that bunch, but it’s hard to know if quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be 100 percent after sustaining a sprained knee in Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay. The Cowboys and Jaguars have just three wins between them.”

Chadiha went on to say that Minnesota is talented and that its defense is finding itself at the right time. If the Vikings beat the teams they are supposed to, a playoff berth certainly isn’t out of the question.
