The Vikings’ best play from the preseason opener against the Broncos

What was the Vikings’ best play from the preseason opener against the Broncos?

Minnesota had more lowlights than highlights in its preseason loss to Denver. But the Vikings still had to flashy plays worth looking back on.

According to our friends at Touchdown Wire, the Vikings’ best play of the day came courtesy of rookie QB Kellen Mond. Against the Broncos, Mond finished with 25 yards on the ground, including this nice play where he makes a cut to pick up the first down.

Also worth considering: Vikings CB Kris Boyd had a nice pass breakup in the end zone, which forced the Broncos to turn the ball over on downs. Boyd was one of the better Minnesota players on the field in the preseason opener, which definitely helps his case for making the roster.
