Texas A&M (23-8, 15-3 SEC) finished out the SEC regular season on a high note, defeating the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide 67-61 to win their record 15th SEC game, finishing in second place in the conference with a double-bye in the upcoming SEC Tournament.
On Sunday, the official schedule for the SEC Tournament was released, as the 2nd-seeded Aggies will wait to play the winner of the 7th-seeded Auburn vs. 10th-seeded Arkansas game on Friday night. In the regular season, Texas A&M swept Auburn and went 1-1 against the Razorbacks, while actively knowing that a third, or second win over either opponent will possibly net them a 7th Quad 1 victory heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Head coach Buzz Williams and star sophomore guard Wade Taylor IV have been the best Coach-player tandem in college basketball this season (in my humble opinion) and should be squarely in the running for SEC Coach of the Year, and SEC Player of the Year when it’s all said and done.
Texas A&M vs. Auburn or Arkansas is set for 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, March 10th, and will air on the SEC Network.
