Starting with the trade that sent star combo guard Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks from the San Antonio Spurs, the Spurs’ front office has been absolutely fleecing their trade partners for some time now.
The most recent such swap saw San Antonio land veteran Sacramento Kings Harrison Barnes via trade for a song. And the Spurs were also able to get veteran floor general Chris Paul without having to give up anything. San Antonio managed to pick up his next contract after CP3 left the Golden State Warriors in free agency when many thought San Antonio would need to make a deal to get such a player on their roster.
The folks behind the “TSR Sports” YouTube channel took some time on a recent episode of their show to look at how much San Antonio has been able to accomplish recently with very few assets going out.
