The Ringer ranks the Brooklyn Nets 19th in latest NBA power rankings

The Brooklyn Nets rank 19th in one outlet’s latest NBA power rankings.

The Brooklyn Nets are one of those teams in the NBA that the NBA public is significantly split on in terms of expectations for the team moving forward. Vegas believes that Brooklyn will likely miss the playoffs completely or would have to go through the play-in tournament to get to that stage.

In a recent power rankings article by The Ringer, the Nets ranked 19th on the list. To add more context, not only did The Ringer give numerical rankings for each NBA team, but it also put those rankings in tiers as well.

For example, Brooklyn is in the tier of teams considered to be “on the rise” meaning that the list considers the Nets to be among teams who are “assembling the pieces for a significant leap, whether it’s with young talents who are stepping into larger roles or savvy offseason moves that are paying dividends.”

Brooklyn is in a good spot as a franchise as they are lead by players like Mikal Bridges, Nic Claxton, and Cam Johnson while having some productive veterans along with significant draft capital that allows them the chance to make organization-altering deals in the future. The 2023-24 season will be an interesting one to watch for things to come for Brooklyn as a franchise.
